THE 2025 Australian motorsport officially begins this weekend, as the world descends on Mount Panorama for the Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour.

Known as Australia’s International Enduro, the once-around-the-clock motor race will see some of the world’s best in GT racing come Down Under.

Festivities kicked off today with the annual Track to Town, where the entire Bathurst 12 Hour grid traversed from Mount Panorama Circuit into Bathurst CBD, greeted by throngs of fans waiting to meet this year’s field of drivers.

MotoGP legend Valentino Rossi returns to the grid this year, driving a BMW M4 for Team WRT. The Italian’s #46 BMW was well in contention in 2024 before struggling in mid-race wet weather.

Queenslander Matt Campbell has returned to his home country with an aim on winning his second consecutive and third overall Bathurst 12 Hour.

The Warwick native has only just landed in Australia after finishing third in this past weekend’s Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona, and will take the wheel of the #911 Porsche 911 GT3R when practice gets underway tomorrow.

The event also offers local talent the chance to compete with and against global talents, with several Repco Supercars Championship drivers entered in this year’s event.

Reigning Supercars champion Will Brown teams up with Chaz Mostert in an Arise GT Ferrari, while Tickford Racing teammates Cam Waters and Thomas Randle join seven-time Bathurst 1000 winner Craig Lowndes in a Scott Taylor Motorsport Mercedes.

On-track action at the 2025 Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour begins tomorrow, with the classic once-around-the-clock endurance race beginning at 5:45am AEDT on Sunday.

Live coverage of the Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour can be found on the Seven Network and Foxtel.

Tickets, camping and corporate experiences remain on sale via the official event website, www.bathurst12hour.com.au.
