TWO-TIME TCR Australia champion Josh Buchan will drive in the Meguiar's Bathurst 12 Hour after scoring a late call-up with Method Motorsport.

Buchan, who won the 2023 and 2024 TCR Australia titles, has been granted permission to replace Cameron Campbell in the #24 McLaren Artura GT4.

Campbell has opted to withdraw from the event, deciding to focus on his Ferrari Challenge commitments.

Buchan will now share the #24 with Jake Santalucia and Anthony Levitt with the Method squad, which is co-owned by Supercars star Chaz Mostert and Guy McIntyre.

New South Welshman Buchan is no stranger to GT4 machinery, competing in a number of races last year.

Following Friday’s action, stewards confirmed they had approved Buchan to replace Campbell, despite the latter driving throughout Friday’s practice sessions.

Method Motorsport required approval for the move, given the rules state “no change of Driver will be permitted after 1600hrs (AEDT) on Thursday 30th January 2025 unless exceptional circumstances, as determined by the Stewards warrant a change after that time.”

“Driver of Car 24 Cameron Campbell has withdrawn for the Bathurst 12 Hour,” Friday's stewards report reads.

“Stewards received a request from Method Motorsport for Joshua Buchan to replace Cameron Campbell.

“Stewards reviewed the request and granted permission for Joshua Buchan to compete in Car 24.

“Stewards determined that due to exceptional circumstance Joshua Buchan is permitted as the replacement driver in Car 24.”

Saturday's running will start with two all-in 60 minute practice sessions at 8:35am and 10:25am, before Qualifying begins at 1:05pm.
